At Inman Mills Baptist Church, food and fellowship aren’t just nice extras—they’re part of the very heartbeat of our church family. Sharing a meal, passing around a plate of treats, or lingering over coffee gives us a modern-day way to do exactly what the early church did: break bread together. Around the table, walls come down. Kids, grandparents, newcomers, and longtime members can swap stories, catch up on life, and support one another in an easy, welcoming setting. It’s where Sunday’s message begins to show up in Monday’s life, and where a room full of individuals truly becomes a family.
At the heart of all this food, fun, and connection is a special group known as the Kitchen Krew. While many people pitch in to cook, serve, and clean, Wanda, Johnna, Wolf, and Pam are always right in the middle of the action—doing it all with true servants’ hearts. From planning the menu and preparing the food to serving with a smile and tackling the cleanup, they turn every get-together into an environment where everyone feels welcome, well-fed, and included. Whether it’s your first church meal or your fiftieth, the Kitchen Krew pours immense love, time, and energy into our church family, and we are deeply grateful for them.
Their hard work sets the stage for what church fellowship is ultimately meant to be: a whole lot of fun. From overflowing potlucks and lively youth pizza nights to the occasional friendly debate over football teams, these gatherings are filled with joy. They offer a space where pastors, first-time guests, and lifelong members alike can relax, enjoy good comfort food, and make lasting memories together. Ultimately, the laughter around these tables reminds us that faith isn’t meant to feel stiff or solitary—it’s meant to be shared, celebrated, and enjoyed in community.
