Our goal this year for OCCS is 150 shoeboxes! These boxes go all over the world for children in poverty stricken areas. Will you help? Our youth will be in the cross hall following the service to hand out the boxes. Pick up your box along with a pamphlet on how to fill your box. Our collection date is Sunday, November 20, and all boxes must be received by that day. This is a great project for your family, Sunday school classes, mission groups and friends at work.

The topic for the morning worship service is “The Way of Love” – 1 John 4:7-13. The evening service is “Faithful to the Name” – Acts 11:25-26.

Don’t miss the District 1 Released Time Fundraiser at BoJangles in Inman on Tuesday, October 18, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.  A portion of the sales will be used to support the Released Time Ministry.

The youth will be going to the Chapman High School football game on Friday, October 14 followed by a lock-in at the Irwin home. Sign up if you plan to go for this fun night!

All youth and parents are encouraged to attend the Judgment House at Cudd Memorial Baptist Church on Saturday, October 22, at 6:00 pm. Please sign up on the youth activity board if you would like to go. We will go to Pizza Inn afterwards.

All Sunday and Wednesday security team members are asked to meet in the chapel this morning following the worship service.

A RADA Cutlery Sale, initiated by the FLC Fundraiser Committee, is now in progress throughout the month of October. The Committee is seeking your support, as this could be a highly profitable fundraiser. Someone will be available in the cross hall with a catalog each Sunday in October.
