The Baby Bottle Boomerang for the Carolina Pregnancy Center has begun. The purpose of this ministry is to take the bottle and fill it with change, cash, or a check (made payable to CPC) for the ministry of the CPC and return the bottle to the church anytime before Sunday, February 2. If you would like a receipt for your gift, please enclose your name and address inside the bottle, and they will send your receipt. CPC is a Christ-centered ministry that offers free counseling to many abortion-minded mothers. Countless young lives have been saved as a result of this ministry. They also offer parenting classes, baby clothing, baby formula and lots of other necessities. One of the latest additions to their services is an ultrasound machine that shows young mothers their unborn child. Prayerfully support this tender ministry.

Food Pantry Update
The IMBC We Care Food Ministry was greatly blessed in 2013. We helped many families in our community and could not have accomplished this without your financial support and prayers. We saw families really struggling this past year. We believe that our church helped make a difference in the lives of these families. We gave food to approximately 65 families, which included 200 men, women, and children. Approximately 1,900 bags of food, 325 gallons of milk, bread and eggs were given away in 2013. We want to say thank you to our many volunteers who make this ministry possible! Grocery shopping, preparing bags of food, ministering to the families as the food is distributed are just a few of the areas that our volunteers work tirelessly. Thank You!! Please continue to pray for guidance for each of these volunteers as they seek to carry out the Lord’s will.
Seek First
Seek first the kingdom of wealth, and you’ll worry over every dollar. Seek first the kingdom of health, and you’ll sweat every blemish and bump. Seek first the kingdom of popularity, and you’ll relive every conflict. Seek first the kingdom of safety, and you’ll jump at every crack of the twig. But seek first God’s kingdom, and you will find it. On that, we can depend and never worry.

Read the Bible Through in 2014
A fresh start at reading the Bible through presents itself with the coming of the New Year. We will provide our church family with a plan for reading through the Bible chronologically in a year. We will follow a weekly reading plan listed in the bulletin as well as on the Read the Bible for Life website. (http://www2.bhpublishinggroup.com/readthebible/) In addition, there will be two opportunities to meet with others to discuss the week’s readings. Please consider participating in one of these discussion groups to share what the Scripture teaches in the coming year, Sundays 4:45 – 5:45 or Tuesdays 6:30 – 7:30 pm. The first week of reading will begin on January 5th and the first meetings will be on January 12th and 14th.
