Impact Weekend
Please meet at the church on Friday at 5:45 pm for the start of this fun weekend.
• If you are participating in
the Impact Weekend, all youth and parents are asked to meet briefly in the fellowship hall this morning following the worship service.

The morning  sermon topic is “The Great Refusal” – Jonah 1:1-3. The evening topic is the Mid-Winter Bible Conference – Great Spiritual Truths, Finding Your Gift – Romans 12:6-8.

Those familiar conversation hearts that show up every February can be more than just trite romantic or friendly sayings. Use them to remind you or others of the greatest love of all: God’s love for us, which empowers our love for others. For example:
 TRUE LOVE: What
love is truer than giving up one’s only Son so people might have everlasting life? (John 3:16).
 BE MINE: Jesus
knows us intimately, as a shepherd knows his sheep. No one can snatch us from him (John 10:27-29).
 FOREVER: God loves
us with an “everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3).
 LOVE ME: The
greatest commandment is to love God with our whole being (Luke 10:27).
 TRUST ME: “Let not
your hearts be troubled.” We can count on Jesus, now and for eternal life (John 14:1-3).
 SWEET TALK: God’s
words are sweeter than honey (Psalm 119:103).
 CALL ME: God longs
to be in fellowship with us. We can talk to him anytime in prayer (Jeremiah 33:3).
 FRIENDS: The
greatest love involves laying down your life for your friends (John 15:13) – precisely what Jesus did.
 #1: “We love because
[God] first loved us”
(1 John 4:19).

Mark your calendar now for the next fundraiser for the Released Time Ministry. Take your family to Bo Jangles in Inman on Tuesday, February 21, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Released Time receives a portion of all the sales that evening.

On Sunday, February 19, there will be a short meeting in the chapel following the morning service for everyone interested in the Nicaragua Mission Trip.

Join us for a time of prayer on Monday, February 13, at 8:00 am in the fellowship hall. Start your day with prayer and encouragement from others! You will see a difference!

On Sunday, February 19, during the evening service, the Lockhart Trio and Travis will be sharing in song. Invite a friend to this special worship time.

Today is the last day to bring back the baby bottles for the Carolina Pregnancy Center. You can fill it with change, bills or you may include a check made payable to Carolina Pregnancy Center. Thank you for your support for this important ministry!

Our Y 4 J group is looking for a host home for some of our youth for Impact Weekend, which is February 24 – 26. If you would be willing to help, please see Sally Irwin for more details.
