Sunday December 15 Events

11:00 am – The service will be the Minor Singers presentation of “The Colors of Christmas”.

5:00 pm – Join us for Christmas Caroling followed by a Soup Supper, sponsored by our WMU Georgia Belles. Wear your ugly Christmas sweater, Christmas hat and Christmas light necklace to help spread Christmas cheer! Join us for this fun and festive time!

December 1 Sermon Topic

11:00 am – Sermon topic is “The Most Powerful Message” – Romans 14:7-12; James 4:6-7.
Reminder: 6:00 pm A Community Carol Celebration, “The Carols of Christmas” at Chapman High School Auditorium with choirs from Inman Mills Baptist, Inman First Baptist and Holston Creek Baptist. (There will be no service at IMBC)

Senior Adult Lunch

Our Luncheon will be on December 12, at 12:00 pm and again be held at the Parris Christmas House, 1428 New Cut Road in Spartanburg. You may want to get there early to enjoy the decorations prior to lunch. The cost is $12.00. Please let Minnie know by December 1 if you plan to go and she will need your money by December 8.

SUNDAY AUGUST 25 SERVICES/EVENTS

The 11:00 am sermon topic is “Great Truths” – Titus 2:7-15

At 5 pm will be our final Super Sunday Night event. We are asking everyone to bring a salad to share, such as tossed salad, egg salad, pear salad, chicken salad, etc. We also need some chocolate salads for dessert! The church will supply crackers and drinks. Come enjoy a cool salad with your church family.

BACKPACK MINISTRY

School has begun and our church will once again, along with New Prospect Baptist Church, participate in the backpack ministry. This ministry provides food supplements to children while they are not at school, such as weekends and holidays. If you would like to help, please mark your gift, “Backpacks.” Our food ministry supports this outreach. Thank you!

DEACON INFORMATION

All Deacons, including those newly elected, will meet in the parlor on Tuesday, August 20, at 6:30 pm. Please plan to attend!

New Deacons elected are Ronnie Dorn, Ray Varner and Garrick Irwin. Please pray that God will use these men to His service/
