Each year, the churches in our North Spartan Baptist Association gather needed items for the Children’s Home. This year, our church has been asked to collect bottles of Clorox. We will collect this item until the fall meeting on October 28.

Sunday, October 3 is Life Chain, a national event that is in support of LIFE! If there ever was a time for the Church to stand together on an issue, it’s support of life and NO to abortion. Please come out from 2 to 3 pm at Westside Baptist Church, across from Zaxby’s on John B. White Blvd. Carolina Pregnancy Center will provide the signs for us to hold on the sidewalk. It’s easy, peaceful and impactful! Please come as your voice and your presence has never been more important!

Ladies, we are looking ahead to our first winter bible study that will begin in January 2022. We would like your input now as planning begins: day of the week and times best for you, a particular bible study you may like, etc. Please call or email Angie to give your thoughts/ideas. We’re looking forward to this time!

This committee, and any volunteers who would like to help this year, will meet after the Sept. 26 morning service in the fellowship hall.

Join us this Wednesday evening at 6:45 pm in the sanctuary as Rev. Hames will return to begin a study of the book of Acts.

The WMU Georgia Belles will meet in the fellowship hall on Monday, October 4, at 6:30 pm. Ladies, plan to join us!

Please continue to pray for this ministry as they serve breakfast to student athletes every Friday morning. Each new athlete will soon receive a new Life Application Bible. If you would like to help a student receive a bible, the cost is $30.00. Just mark your gift “Breakfast of Champions.” There’s no better way to reach the youth than with God’s Word!
