We have a number of students that are attending college from our congregation and we would like for them to know that we are praying for them during this time in their lives. If you would like to send them a card, a list of addresses is on the bulletin board near the office that you can pick up. Let’s love and encourage our college kids!

September is the month for the Janie Chapman State Mission Offering. Our church goal is $1,500.00. As of last Sunday, we have received $785.00. Thank you for your support of home missions!

The Music Minors, ages kindergarten – 6th grade, will begin practice again this afternoon at 5:15 pm in the Music Room. We will begin work on our Christmas music. Join us!

All children, ages 5 – 6th grade, will meet in the fellowship hall on Sunday, September 23, at 5:30 pm to make/decorate cookies to take to shut-in members of our church. Join us for this important outreach opportunity!

Rev. Harold King will bring the morning and evening messages. Prior to his retirement, Rev. King was pastor of Southside Baptist in Chesnee. Brother Lockhart was his minister of music.

• Youth Fellowship Day – Sunday, September 2                                            We will leave the church following the morning worship service to go to the home of Rick & Ruth Moon. We will return back to the church for the evening bible study time. Check out the youth activity board for lots more details about this day.
• Carowinds Christian Music Day – Saturday, September 22         You must sign up on the activity board no later than Sunday, September 2 if you plan to go.

Our next church family  music service will be Sunday, September 2, at 6:00 pm. If you would like to sing a solo, duet, trio, quartet or play an instrument, this is your invitation to participate. Please have music for your song and give to the accompanists before September 2. We look forward to this evening of worship!
