Sunday School Workshop

Our North Spartan Baptist Association is hosting a Sunday School Workshop on Monday, September 25, at 6:30 pm at Campobello First Baptist Church. This will be for all teachers and will be led by Dr. Terry Lanford. Subjects of the workshop will include:

  • God’s Passion for Teaching
  • The Spiritual Growth of the Teacher
  • Role of the Holy Spirit and the Teacher
  • Applying Spiritual Disciplines
  • Learning from Biblical Models (Ezra, Jesus, Paul)
  • Inductive Bible Study Training
  • Lesson Preparations

Life Chain – Carolina Pregnancy Center Event

The Carolina Pregnancy Center is sponsoring Life Chain on Sunday, October 1st from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at West Side Baptist Church on John B. White Boulevard (across from Zaxby’s). This is a public stand against abortion and demonstrates our commitment to LIFE that was started by Dr. James Dobson over 25 years ago. Please join us as we stand for unborn babies everywhere.

Choir on the Road

The Inman Community Worship Choir will sing “ONE” from the recently presented concert at Chapman High School, on Thursday, September 21 at Ashlan Village in Lyman. Start time is 6:15 pm. You are welcome to attend as the choir sings for the residents there. Pray for the choir as they go.

See You At The Pole

“Fix your eyes on Jesus.” Hebrews 12:2

That’s the theme of this year’s SYATP. Leadership at Mabry Middle School has asked our church to lead in this year’s event on Wednesday, September 27, at 7:15 am. We will gather at the Mabry flagpole for song, devotion and breakfast for the students. If you would like to help, please check with Travis or call the church office. Last year, we had over 100 students praying together!

  • Saturday, September 23 will be Christian Music Day at Carowinds. The youth will leave the church at   8:00 am if you signed up to go and a ticket has been purchased for you.
    Please bring a bag lunch and drink and any spending money you may need for additional snacks.
  • Sunday, September 10 – All youth and parents are asked to meet briefly in the fellowship hall following the morning worship service.
